Your New Home

Hello and welcome. Moving somewhere new can feel a bit worrying at first, and that’s completely okay. At Care2Care, we are here to help you feel safe, supported, and cared for.

This is your home, and you matter here. We will take time to get to know you and help make your space feel comfortable, calm, and welcoming, so you can start to feel settled in your own way.

A Few Helpful Things to Know

You will have your own bedroom that belongs to you. You can bring your favourite things with you and choose how to decorate it, so it feels comfortable, personal, and like your own space.

Yes, of course. You can bring your favourite clothes, toys, games, or books with you. Having your own things around can help your room feel familiar and more like home.

That’s completely normal, and lots of children feel that way at first. You will have a keyworker who is there to support you, listen to you, and help you feel settled in your new home.

There will always be caring adults around, both during the day and at night. They are there to listen to you, help you with school or everyday things, and support you whenever you feel upset or need someone to talk to.

If it is safe and part of your plan, yes. We will help you keep in touch with the people who are important to you and support you to spend time together where possible.

Let’s Play a Game

To help you feel welcome, we’ve added a fun game called Block Monsters 1010. In this game, you drag the Block Monster shapes onto the board and try to complete rows or columns to score points.

There’s no rush and no pressure to win. It’s just for fun. Once you’ve had a go, you can tell us how you did or what you liked about the game. It’s a relaxed way for us to get to know you a little better.
